Sunday night, second-year wide receiver Taylor Price sent out this tweet: "Jus touched down what a nice Sunday evening n bean town."Punctuation aside, that was a beautiful sentiment. With the NFL lockout finally lifted, the gates at Gillette Stadium will swing open and players will be arriving to get physicals and their marching orders for the 2011 preseason. Last Thursday, the owners proposed a back-to-work timeline that had teams allowed to begin talking with their own free agents and negotiating rookie contracts at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday with other teams' free agents being accessible for negotiations 14 hours later. The proposed timeline nowhas doors possibly opening to players on Monday.Tuesday will be the day negotiations can begin with rookie draft choices, rookie free agents and unrestricted free agents. The league year will begin Friday meaning that agreements can be struck with players. On August 2nd, those contracts wouldkickin. As for the opening of training camps, we're still wondering whether unsigned rookies will be able to report for an orientation process. Andwhile it's being reported that "training camps" are opening this week, they won't be actual camps. Patriots oplayers will take physicals and do the annual condition run on Wednesday. Thursday will mark the beginning of "training camp", which will be open to the public.
