Patriots running back Danny Woodhead has reportedly translated his status as a hardworking, diminutive fan favorite into an endorsement deal with Skechers fitness footwear.

CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell tweeted a picture of Woodhead holding a Skechers brand sneaker. Rovell reported the endorsement to be a two-year deal, but did not immediately include compensation figures.

Skechers "markets itself to trend-savvy men, women and children," according to AthletePromotions.com. Woodhead joins the ranks of Skechers endorsers, including Joe Montana, Wayne Gretzky and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Chief among Skechers Fitness Groups' line are the Shape-ups and Tone-ups branded shoe style.

Woodhead joined the Patriots at the start of the 2010 season after being cut by the New York Jets. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Chadron State.
