HULL -- Labor talks between the NFL players and owners are winding down at the Nantasket Beach Resort, with none of the participants willing to comment but with rumors of significant progress swirling.

According to a source, the players have spent "immense" time in meetings alone. There were also owners-only meetings, along with some meetings with both players and owners.

EARLIER STORY:
Meetings between a handful of NFL owners and players are continuing Thursday afternoon as both sides work to end the lockout.

The chosen outpost on the Massachusetts South Shore has been a closely guarded secret. When we arrived late Thursday morning, drapes in the first floor conference room were slammed closed by an individual who looked like Colts center Jeff Saturday.

We're wise to them. They're wise to us.

Some members of the contingent arrived Tuesday night and began meeting then, according to a source. The same source noted that meetings may take "a while". Earlier in the day, it was believed everything would wrap mid-afternoon.

We'll keep you posted.
