Peverley put the Bruins up 1-0 with 8:01 left in the firstperiod, after he beat Roberto Luongo five-hole on a breakaway. The play startedwith Zdeno Charas hard cross-ice pass up right wing. David Krejci reached outand tipped it ahead to Peverley, who stepped in all alone from the Vancouverblue line.
Goals from Michael Ryder and Brad Marchand in a span of 2 minutes and 18 secondsin the second period gave the Bruins a 3-0 lead.
Ryder made it 2-0 by beating Luongo top-right with a snapshot from the top of the left circle that tipped off the blade of Vancouverdefenseman Sami Salo, who reached his stick out for a poke-check attempt.
Marchand added Bostons third goal on a 4-on-4 situation, ashe backhanded a loose puck out front, into top-right corner of the net.
Peverley added his second goal of the night at 3:39 of thethird period, as a Milan Lucic pass out front was poke-checked by Luongo andbounced up off Ryan Kesler, where it then came down off of Peverleys skate andinto the net for the 4-0 lead.

That was it for Luongo, as he was then pulled from the gamein favor of Cory Schneider.
The teams return to Vancouver for Game 5 on Friday night, and Game 6 will be played Monday in Boston. Game 7, if necessary, is scheduled for next Wednesday in Vancouver.
