Report: Trail Blazers interested in UConns Walker

Kemba Walker has reportedly drawn interest over 3,000 miles from where he made his mark at the University of Connecticut.

According to the Portland Tribune, the Trail Blazers would like to move up from the 21st pick in this months NBA Draft to land the point guard earlier in the first round:

According to a league source, Portland would like to get into the top seven to be in position to take Connecticut point guard Kemba Walker. That might mean packaging veteran point guard Andre Miller and the No. 21 pick for another teams player along with a top-seven pick.
Acting general manager Chad Buchanan was noncommital on the report.
Any possible avenue that will improve our teammoving up in the draft, a trade, whateverwe will consider, Buchanan said.

Walker led the Huskies to the 2011 NCAA Championship and was the recipient of the Bob Cousy Award for the top point guard in college basketball. He averaged 23.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in his final season at UConn.
