CLEVELAND -- Kevin Youkilis was a late scratch from the Red Sox lineup Wednesday for the series finale against the Indians. Youkilis, who will be replaced at third base by Drew Sutton, has a sore left hand from diving for a ball in Tuesday night's game.

J.D. Drew is also not in the lineup.

"On the ball in the last inning when he went and caught that ball in foul territory, kind of strained his hammy a little bit," manager Terry Francona said. "I dont think its something that will be a prolonged absence, but hes not going to play today. Well go from there. With the quick turnaround, sometimes its had to assess how a guy feels when he shows up 10 hours later. But I think the initial looking at him is he's OK."

Mike Cameron will replace Drew in right field.

Jon Lester is tied for the league lead (with five others) in wins at 6. He is 2-0 in his last three starts despite giving up 12 runs over 17 13 innings, with a career-high 12 hits in six innings in his last start, May 20 against the Cubs.
