Belichick: Draft trades are for players, not picks

In a sit-down interview with CSNNE.com's Tom E. Curran, Patriots coach Bill Belichick says draft-day trades -- a New England staple under Belichick -- are driven by the desire to acquire a certain player.

"You don't want a pick, you want a particular guy," he said. "So based on how you can get that player, that's what really drives the trade.

"Who do you trade with? You trade with a team that can put you position to get you the player you want."
