The New England Revolution are coming off a 1-1 draw to the Portland Timbers on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium, and now, theyre set to take on the leagues other expansion team, the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Both teams are coming off draws in their own buildings, but for Vanouver, its 3-3 tie with Sporting Kansas City was much more positive than New Englands 1-1 tie with Portland.

As an expansion team, the Whitecaps were happy to get a point last weekend, giving them a 1-1-1 record. With four points, Vancouver now sits in fourth place in the Western Conference.

As for the Revolution, they werent very pleased with their tie last weekend, mainly because they knew it was a Timbers team they knew they should have beaten. The word disappointed was flying around the Revs locker room after the game. But as disappointed as they were, the fact remains that theyre still unbeaten through three games, with a 1-0-2 record, and feeling sorry for themselves wasnt going to do them any good for a quick turnaround in Vancouver on Wednesday.

Were still chasing points, so that makes Wednesdays game even more important, said Revs second-year forward Zack Schilawski after Saturdays draw. It would be nice to have gotten three points in this game so we could go into it with a little bit more of a cushion. But now were going to have to keep fighting. We cant dwell on it too long. Weve got to get ready for Wednesday.

Following Wednesdays match in Vancouver, the Revolution return home to host Real Salt Lake on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

The Revs continue to deal with injuries, and as of Tuesday, four players were doubtful for Wednesdays game in Vancouver, and one was already ruled out.

Franco Coria (hamstring), Ousmane Dabo (quadriceps), Marko Perovic (hamstring), and Andrew Sousa (quadriceps) are doubtful, while starting goalkeeper Matt Reis is out with an adductor strain.
