BenJarvus Green-Ellis, a 1,000-yard rusher for the Patriots this season, has been extended a restricted free-agent tender, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.
Rapoport reported that the offer, "at a second-round compensation," could be worth 2 million over one season.
The contract designation existed under the old Collective Bargaining Agreement, but it's unknown if it will exist when agreement on a new CBA is reached.
