CSNNE.comOTTAWAThe spaghetti-legged Bruins clearly didnt have much left in the tank at the end of their long road trip.Despite the energy-sappingroad fatigue, the Bs managed to scrap for one goal in the third periodand pull off a skinny 1-0 victory Tuesday night over the unrecognizable post-trade deadline Senators at Scotiabank Place.Nathan Horton banged home the game-winner on a rebound right in front of the net while Brad Marchand provided all kinds of traffic, and the Bs put together their first 6-0-0 road swing since their Bobby Orr Stanley Cup-winning squad of 1972."It's about working together; back-checking," said Horton, when asked what the road winning stretch was about. "Doing the little things. Nobody is caring about goals or assists. We care about winning."Patrice Bergeron put the winning goal in motion by cycling the puck in the corner, and firing a pass out to Adam McQuaid at the high point position. The Bs defenseman picked up his third point in the last four games when he fired a long shot into a group of traffic in front of the Ottawa. Marchand tangled with bodies in front and pushed a rebound bid at the Ottawa cage that Craig Anderson was able to stop, but a crashing Horton flicked home the second effort rebound.Tuukka Rask was the fortunate recipient of a Bobby Butler shot off the post in the second period, but he was otherwise solid in a 33-save shutout of the Senatorswith his best stop coming on a Jason Spezza breakaway bid in the middle 20 minutes. The win improves Rask to 9-11-1 and gives him a personalfour-game winning streak on the season. The Bs had a gigantic penalty kill in the final minutes of the game after Marchand took a holding penalty, but once again were able to hang on for the road victory.
