A nuisance. A danger to society. Dirty. Rotten. Street rubbish. And we havent even began to describe Mike Tyson yet.

The man once known as Iron Mike will be gracing your TV screen soon with a new reality show on Animal Planet. Its called Taking on Tyson and airs starting March 6th.

Yes, this guy

is now cooing over what may be the most annoying bird in human history. Tyson, however, thinks these guys are the best animals in the world.

And he would knowhes owned tigers.

In fact, Tyson mightve never gotten into boxing if it wasnt for some jerkface who killed his beloved childhood pigeon and threw it in his face. We imagine the aftermath of that event looked a lot like this:

They grow pigeons really large in Brooklyn

The premise of the show is Tyson raises pigeons for racing. Apparently, theres some underground pigeon racing movement. We find the interest level of pigeon racing rests somewhere between watching paint dry and watching the old guys in the park play chess.

But should such alternative competitions interest you, weve created a survival guide to help you understand whats going on:

For starters, you can always tell which pigeons are Mikes by their branding.

Tysons champion pigeons are Bobby, Squirt and Pesto.

Iron Mikes mentor was the legendary Pigeon Man who children feared growing up.

Pigeon Man was the only one who didnt call Mike football head.

Tyson likes to dress up as the Crow when competing with his pigeons. No one has the heart to tell Mike that its not the same thing.

And lastly, not only does Mike put his pigeons through a very difficult and challenging exercise regiment, he also makes sure his feathered friends keep up with their classical studies.
