WILMINGTON -- As the Bruins prepare for their nationally-televised rematch with the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday afternoon, Mark Recchi was the only player not on the ice for Saturday's practice at Ristuccia Arena.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said after practice that Recchi was absent because of "personal" reasons, and that "it was nothing major."

Julien also acknowledged that he has a few decisions to make before Sunday's game in Detroit. One is his on his starting goaltender. The other is on the status of Tyler Seguin, who's been a healthy scratch for the last two games.

Seguin returns to Michigan, where his OHL team -- the Plymouth Whalers -- played, so obviously, he'd like to dress for Sunday's game against the Red Wings.

Also returning to Michigan is Tim Thomas, who hails from the town of Flint. Officially, it's unknown as to whether or not Thomas will get the start, as Julien refused to tip his hand. But seeing the importance of the game, after losing to the Red Wings at the TD Garden, 6-1, on Friday night, it would only seem logical for the Bruins to start their No. 1 goaltender, in his home state.

"There's a ton of family that want to come to the game, so that's nice on one hand," said Thomas after Saturday's practice. "But then there's, I don't know if you want to call it added pressure or what, at the same time."

Thomas said he has 40 people who want to go, but acknowledged that the game is sold out, and the team only gets a certain number of tickets, which they have to split up, and pay for themselves.

"That's going to make it hard," said Thomas.
