The New England Revolution has re-signed midfielder Pat Phelan. The 26 year oldmidfielder made a career high 28 regular season appearances with the Revs last season. In his 25 starts last year he saw time at both center midfield or center back. Phelan saw some additionalplaying time in SuperLiga and in theU.S. Open Cup. Phelan talied two goals and one assist last season which gave him his first points in the MLS. Phelan was acquired via a trade with Toronto FC how originally drafted Phelan in the first round (10th overall) out of Wake Forest in 2008.
