Jones, Woodhead will go through usual process to return

Rob Gronkowski was not the only casualty of New England's Divisional Playoff win.
Running back Danny Woodhead (right hand) and defensive end Chandler Jones (ankle) were also injured in the 41-28 victory over Houston Sunday night.
Gronkowski's grim fate has already been determined: The tight end suffered a broken arm that required surgery and is out for the remainder of the season. The statuses of his two teammates, however, are still unknown.

Bill Belichick did not share specifics of either injury on his Tuesday conference call. The head coach did give some insight to the process that Woodhead and Jones will go through this week, though.
"We do the same thing with every player," Belichick said. "Any players that were in for treatment yesterday and today -- well, everybody was in yesterday, but the guys who got treatment yesterday and the guys who came in for treatment today -- we'll take a look at them today, take a look at them tomorrow and make a decision as to whether or not we think they can practice.
"If we do, we'll put them out there, let them go through the early part of practice -- the warmup stages, some individual work -- see how that progresses and make a decision as to whether or not to put them in the group and team drills that come later on in practice. We do the same thing with every player in different categories. If they're not ready, they don't practice or they practice on a limited basis. If they're able to continue with what all the things all the other players are doing."
The Patriots return to practice Wednesday afternoon. An injury and participation report will be swapped with AFC Championship opponent Balitmore and released sometime in the evening.
